"An update on the 9 foot Rainguard™.
It has been working fine since about the spring of 2005. I had my roof cleaned the other day and it sent a load of decayed leaves etc. down into the guard. Of course it had been collecting stuff all along but this time the roller came off. I inspected it and found the staples had rusted out. The only surprise was that they lasted so long. Everything corrodes with lightning speed here in Florida due to the high humidity, heat and salt air. The thicker "retracting" plastic shows some signs of cracking.
I simply reattached the roller with 4 stainless screws and reinstalled it. I thought you would like to know what happened to it. I think it is a great product.

“I installed a nine-foot length of your Rainguard™ by attaching it to my poolside downspout.
It has been in service just about three years, baking in the hot sun of Florida. It has gone through numerous tropical storms and two full-fledged hurricanes and has given almost perfect performance. I say almost perfect because it tends not to roll up perfectly straight as it has aged. That is because it is a heck of a long roll to expect perfection especially considering the old leaves and twigs which flow down from the gutters and pass through it. I like the fact that I can, when necessary, change and control the direction of the water flow.
While the Rain Guard is still in fairly good condition, I would like to know where I can buy another one.
